Plan Ahead for Direct Library Donations : If you would like to donate items in excellent or good condition specifically for the Kodiak Public Library collection, please contact the Library Director at 907-486-8688 or the Main Desk, 907-486-8686 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Staff and patrons appreciate the kind donations of many residents, visitors, volunteers, and U.S. Coast Guard members, yet, sometimes there are "too many books and not enough time." Staff processes materials donations as time, space, and need allow. Please help us coordinate the effort by calling ahead.
To Support the KPLA Friends Group Crab Fest Book Sale: The Kodiak Public Library Association (KPLA) organizes the drop-offs and sorting of donations for its Ongoing Used Book Sale in the public library lobby, the Fall Book Swap and the Annual Crab Fest Book Sale. Watch the KPLA web site and Facebook announcements for specific details. Now through Thursday, May 28, 2015 drop off your gently used items for the Annual Crab Fest Book Sale at Harborside Coffee, Harborside Fly By, Kodiak Island Brewery and Cost Savers.

The Public Library is not accepting KPLA Crab Fest book sale books until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 21. This will give KPLA time to organize inventory. Thanks for your continued support.
When Crab Fest is over, visit KPLA's Ongoing Book Bin Sale in the Library Lobby: Stock up on used books at the KPLA Book Bins in the Library Lobby. Children's books, CDs, DVDs and paperbacks are $1.00. Hardcover books are $2.00. Proceeds go to Kodiak Public Library Association, a Kodiak not-for-profit association supporting library events and special projects through fundraising and volunteerism.
