Are you getting too many results with your search? To better refine your search in our catalog, use the "Power Search" option on the catalog web page. This option allows you to narrow your search by author, title, genre and more.

Use quotes around phrases

Use AND to narrow a search and combine different ideas

caffeine AND hypertension
"sharia law" AND Taliban
"father's parenting styles" AND "self esteem"

SLED

Library patrons have direct access to a collection of online databases and periodical indexes in SLED, the State Library Electronic Doorway. This online resource allows access to thousands of electronic periodicals and newspapers that the Kodiak Public Library does not store on its shelves.  Patrons who have Internet access at home may also utilized these databases.  Ask a librarian for more information.

Kodiak Public Library houses a variety of public documents including the Kodiak City Charter and Code, State of Alaska Statutes, and more.  If you are searching for a specific item, please call the front desk at 486-8686 to see if it is part of the library's collection.
