Resources

In addition to over 65,000 books, the library checks out: AV Equipment such as projectors, DVD players, headphones, and laptops; music and books on compact disks; language learning materials; feature films and instructional DVDs; magazines and newspapers. Public-use computers and Wi-Fi are available to patrons in good standing with a resident library card, visitor library card, or complimentary guest pass (good for 60 minutes). Internet connectivity is funded through the federal e-rate program, the Alaska Library Network, and the City of Kodiak.

 

Library patrons have direct access to online databases, journal articles, and archives via the State Library Electronic Doorway (SLED) and the Alaska Digital Library of e-books and audio books provided with funding from the Alaska State Library and the City of Kodiak. Patrons who have Internet access at home can use these electronic materials from the Online Resources page.
