Maintenance Technician

The City of Kodiak is recruiting for a full-time Maintenance Technician in the Public Works Department. The Department is looking for an experienced team player that has a desire to be part of a progressive Public Works Department working hard to serve the needs of our community.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Incumbents are responsible for performing skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks on City streets and rights-of-way, wastewater collection and storm water systems, water distribution system, landscaping and building maintenance. This work may include performing inspections, implementing routine preventative maintenance and repairs, and evaluation of equipment and supplies as necessary to ensure effective operations. Executing special projects/assignments such as snow removal and heavy equipment operation may also be necessary.
